Before you head south: a 5-step checklist
- Sign up and verify your ID a week or two before you leave.
- Set up Canada Post Mail Forwarding from your home address to your Phantom Digital Mail address for the months you're away.
- Update the senders that matter most: bank, credit cards, pension and benefits, insurance, property tax.
- Turn on email notifications for new mail and finished scans.
- Decide on forwarding: have important originals sent to your winter address in one consolidated shipment, or hold everything until you're back.
